How To Create an Azure Redis Cache

To create a hosted Redis cache on Azure start be going to the portal at https://portal.azure.com

Next select add resource and search for Redis.

Fill out the fields in the create Redis cache blade and click create.

Now it will take 10-20 min to create a basic tier cache via the portal. To speed this up either select a higher tier or use an ARM template.

After the cache is created you can pin it to the start and access the cache. Also an included console is available in the Azure portal to interact directly with the cache.
